Beginning: Vinyasa Yoga
The class will focus on basic yoga postures with emphasis on proper alignment. It is a vinyasa style yoga in which poses flow from one to another blending balance, strength, flexibility and power. Throughout the class, postures will be broken down with instructor demonstrations. The class environment is relaxing, non-competitive, non-judgemental and is well suited for beginners, the older student and those who are building strength.

Instructor, Jill Hunt: First began yoga in conjunction with modern dance classes which she attended throughout high school and college. After college she began studying the martial arts and opened the Karate Club with her husband in 1987. She has been training in karate for 30 years, currently holds a 2nd degree black belt and has over 8 years experience teaching martial arts. Jill re-discovered yoga and has been taking classes from excellent instructors during the past 2 years. She realized the many similarities between the martial arts and yoga and the positive benefits yoga provided both in improving her abilities at karate and overall physical health. She wanted to bring yoga classes into the karate studio and began teacher training last June. She is completing her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification with Yoga Fit and is certified in Level I, Level II and Anatomy and Alignment.
