WHITE BELT

The white belt is usually achieved within 5 –7 lessons. The test for white belt is an informal test with the instructor.  At white belt level you will learn the basic kicks, punches and stances. You will also learn basic self-defense moves

GOLD BELT
The average student usually achieves gold belt within 10 lessons.  At the Gold Belt level the student works on speed and accuracy with kicking and punching combinations (similar to shadow boxing).  Pad kicking is introduced in the classroom to develop strength and power. More basic self-defense moves are learned at this level also.

GREEN BELT

After reaching gold belt, it takes the average student about 2- 3 months to test for green belt. At this belt level the student works on pad kicking, combinations, self-defense, and forms (traditional karate).  Sparring is introduced at green belt level. Sparring gives students the chance to practice techniques learned. It is a great form of cardio exercise which develops self -defense skills, and reaction skills. By green belt level the student has learned control and is ready to spar safely. We allow only light contact above the waist.  Control and blocking are emphasized. There is no contact to the head and all sparring is done with full safety equipment.
